CLAT Result 2020: The exam conducting body will declare the CLAT 2020 results soon after the provisional answer key for the CLAT exam is released. The results will be released on the official site of the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs). To access their results, the candidate should log in through their Registration Number and Password/Date of Birth entered while applying for the exam. The result of CLAT 2020 will include the candidate’s score in each section, total score, and ranks. The CLAT consortium will also release a separate merit list of students who appeared for the CLAT 2020 examination for all the NLUs.

How to check the CLAT 2020 result?
Once the exam is done and the candidate wants to check his/her result of CLAT 2020, then they should follow the below steps:
Step 1: The candidates should visit the official site of the CLAT consortium to access their results.
Step 2: After the page appears on the screen, the candidate should click on the CLAT 2020 result link.
Step 3: A login page appears where the candidate should enter the necessary details like their registration/application number and date of birth and then click the submit button.
Step 4: Now, go to the ‘scorecard’ in the registered account and click on the link.
Step 5: Finally, the scorecard appears on the screen, where the candidate can check their rank, score, and qualifying status.
Step 6: The candidate can download the scorecard for his/her future reference.

CLAT merit list 2020
Candidates who have completed their exam can check the CLAT 2020 merit list which will be released at the time of CLAT result declaration. The authorities will release a total of three merit lists of CLAT 2020. These merit lists will contain details like the name of the merit list candidate, category, state, and category-rank. The merit lists will have specific ranks that will be used for shortlisting candidates for counseling and allotting seats to them.
How to resolve ties in the merit list?
If two candidates have scored the same marks in the CLAT entrance exam, then the exam officials will conduct a tie-breaking process, which takes place in the following methods:
- The candidate who has scored higher marks in the Legal Aptitude section of CLAT exam ranks higher.
- The age of the candidate plays a prominent role, where the candidate with higher age gets ranked higher.
- The authority follows a computerized draw of lots, where the candidate whose name appears in the draw gets ranked higher.
CLAT cut-off Marks 2020
Candidates can check the cutoff for CLAT 2020 exam at the time of or after the counseling process. The CLAT 2020 cutoff will be released separately for all the 21 CLAT 2020 participating NLUs which will be category-specific. The cutoff for CLAT 2020 will not be available before the CLAT 2020 exam, so the candidates may refer the previous year cutoff to predict the cutoff for the current year.

CLAT Counselling 2020
NUSRL, Ranchi, will conduct the CLAT counseling for 2020. Also, the seat allotment process will be held online by the NUSRL, Ranchi. Only the CLAT-qualified candidates will be eligible for the counseling process. Those who are eligible will be issued counseling call letters, which the candidates can download from the official site.
Once the candidate is eligible for counseling, he/she should register for counseling, participate in the choice filling and locking process. While filling their choices, the candidate should be very careful because these choices will be counted when making seat allotments.
