  • The candidates should select the state they wish to appear for. The exam pattern and syllabus for the judiciary exam differ from one state to another. After selecting the state, the candidate can begin preparing for the exam.
  • The candidates should go through the previous 10-year questions papers of the chosen state judiciary exam. Going through the old papers will help the candidates to estimate how that particular state will frame the questions.
  • Bare acts are the primary source of all the law questions asked in state judiciary exams. Bare acts are the backbone of law. Every multiple-choice question, short answer question, and long answer question have their base from bare acts.
  • The bare acts will help the candidates write detailed answers. It is suggested that the candidates should go through the bare acts as many times as possible.
  • While studying the bare acts, candidates should focus on the usage of ‘may’ and ‘shall’ as it makes a lot of difference. They seem to be confusing, but if the candidate reads it a few times, then he/she will definitely understand the concept.
  • The candidate should know the priority of the concepts. For example, there are chapters 7, 9A, 11, 12, 13, 14, 18, and 19 of the Indian Penal Code are not asked frequently. Even if they appear in the exam, they are only heading based which does not require in-depth knowledge. Hence if the candidate understands the important concepts, then his/her time and energy will be saved.
  • Candidates should know about the important concepts. So he/she should speak to their seniors, discuss with friends, ask teachers, and make a list of important sections and chapters of bare acts. So that it will help the candidates to focus more on these concepts.
  • Before appearing for the exams, the candidate should be very clear f the landmark judgments and latest case laws of the last two years. While writing subjective answers, if the candidate mentions facts or statements about the recent cases and judgments, the copy checker will be in an opinion that the candidate is well informed and updated.
  • While revising the candidate should not read long answers. In fact, he/she should make a synopsis of all the topics while reading. It helps the candidate during the last minute revision.
  • It is always advised that the candidate makes ample use of charts, diagrams, and graphs, etc. in your rough notebook. Use them to practice frequently. It is because pictorial representation will help the candidate memorize it better.
  • At the end of the day, the candidate should revise what he/she studied the whole day. This will help the candidate prepare better.
