The Jharkhand Judiciary Recruitment will be held in three stages. The candidates should qualify for all three phases to be selected for the post. First is the Preliminary Entrance Test – Written Examination with Multiple Choice Questions. The candidates who qualify for the prelims exam will be eligible for the Mains exam. The Mains exam is a subjective paper and is a written exam. The candidates who clear the mains exam will be eligible for the interview round.

Jharkhand Judiciary Eligibility Criteria 2023

Educational Qualification: The candidate should have a Degree in Law from a reputed University. The candidate should also be enrolled as an advocate via the Advocates, Act, 1961 until the last date of submission of the application form. General Requirements: The candidate should be a citizen of India. Also, he/she should have good moral character and must not have any history with any criminal case that involves moral.

Age Limit: The lower age limit of the candidate is 22 years and the upper age limit is 35 years. For females or for the candidates belonging to SC/ST, there is a relaxation of the upper age limit by three years.

The Jharkhand Judicial Services Recruitment process is carried out in three stages:

Preliminary Exam

The prelims exam of Jharkhand Judiciary will consist of MCQs. There are a total of 100 marks and the duration of the exam is for 2 hours.

Viva-Voce

The viva-voce test will be held for 100 marks. The qualifying marks for General category students is 25% and for SC/ST/EBC & OBC category students is 20%. The final selection of the candidates will be done based on the marks obtained in the Mains Exam and the Interview rounds both.

If there is a tie in the marks of the candidates in the ultimate selection list, the candidates having the Post Graduate Degree will be given higher priority. Later, the candidate’s experience in practicing law, their age factor will be taken into consideration.

Jharkhand Judiciary Application Process 2023

To apply for the Jharkhand Judiciary Exam 2023, the candidate should follow the below steps:

  1. The candidate should visit the official website of the Jharkhand Public Service Commission and click on the link for the application form.
  2. Then, he/she should enter all the necessary details including name, date of birth, address, educational qualifications, and more.
  3. Later, the candidate should upload a scanned copy of their passport-size photo with a signature in the required format and size.
  4. Finally, the candidate should pay the application fees.

The application fee for all the general category candidates is Rs. 600 and for all the reserved category students, it is Rs. 150.

Once the documents and the details are validated, the board of Jharkhand for the exam releases the admit card on the official site for all the eligible candidates, The candidates can visit the website and download the admit card. Usually, the admit card for Jharkhand Judicial Exam is released 2 weeks before the exam date.
