  • The exam will be of 200 marks. Aspirants have to complete the paper in 3 Hours (180 minutes).

SBI Clerk Prelims Exam Highlights

The SBI Clerk Prelims Exam consists of three sections and the total marks in the examination is 100 marks. The candidates who score the cutoff marks will be eligible for the mains exam. Based on the SBI prelims exam, the candidates approximately 10 times the number of vacancies will be selected for the mains exam.

SBI Clerk Mains Result 2020

There is no Interview process for the Clerical Cadre post in State Bank of India. The candidate will be evaluated based on the marks obtained in their Mains Exam. The SBI Clerk Mains Exam is been postponed due to COVID-19 outbreak. Those who clear the SBI Clerk preliminary exam by scoring minimum qualifying marks will be eligible for the SBI Mains Exam 2020.

The SBI Clerk Result for Mains exam will be declared after the completion of the test. The test comprises four sections and it will carry a total of 200 marks. The merit list is prepared based on the candidates who secure the minimum qualifying marks. A 5% relaxation in minimum qualifying marks is provided to SC/ST/OBC/PWD/XS category candidates. The candidates who qualify the mains examination are placed as per their aggregate marks in the descending order according to their categories and states.

SBI Clerk Local Language Test 2020

The candidates who clear the mains exam will have to give the language test. Those candidates who opted for the local language in their 10th and 12th grades need not appear for the test. For those who haven’t opted for the local language, the local language test will be conducted. These candidates should compulsorily qualify the local language test. If the candidate doesn’t qualify for the language test, then he/she will not be eligible.

SBI Clerk Provisional Selection 2020

Provisional selection of candidates for the post of clerical cadre is done subject to their qualifying the opted local language. The preliminary examination marks are not considered for the selection. Only the marks secured in the mains examination are considered while preparing the final merit list.

SBI Clerk Final Selection 2020

As there is no interview, the final selection is done based on the SBI clerk mains exam. Based on the SBI clerk mains exam marks the final selection will be done provided the candidate qualifies the local language test. Before the final selection, the verification of the eligibility of the candidate for the Clerical Cadre post will be done. The merit list will be prepared state-wise and category-wise.

SBI Clerk Waitlist 2020

Up to 50% of the vacancies both state-wise and category-wise are maintained by SBI. If anyone doesn’t join or resigns, the candidates from the waitlist will be offered an appointment on a quarterly basis. Only those candidates who secure the minimum qualifying marks in the mains exam will be selected from the waitlist. The waitlist is valid until one year starting from the SBI Clerk final result declaration.

Tie-Breaking Procedure in SBI Clerk 2020

If two or more candidates score equal marks, then there will be a tie which is resolved in the following manner:

  • Candidates from the reserved category such as SC/ST/OBC/PH will be considered.
  • If the tie still persists candidates having a fewer number of incorrect answers in all the subjects will be considered.
  • If the tie again continues, candidates older in age will be considered.

SBI Clerk Cutoff 2020

The SBI Clerk cutoff will be released along with the scorecard. The cutoff is released category-wise and state-wise. The SBI Clerk Cutoff is released based on the number of appeared candidates, exam difficulty and total vacancies, etc.
