CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) is an all-India entrance examination held by National Law Schools/Universities (NLUs) for admission to their undergraduate and graduate degree programs (LL.B & LL.M). The task for administering the exam is cycled among NLUs and assigned based on seniority in the organization.
The Consortium aims to strengthen national law school collaboration to achieve the highest legal education standards in the country. The Consortium’s initial members are twenty-one law schools from around the country. The Consortium of National Law Universities was founded on August 19, 2017, with Prof. R. A: It is not about obtaining absolute pre-determined marks; rather, the scores are calculated relative to the difficulty of the paper and the topper's maximum marks each year (s). As a result, each NLU releases a relative percentile based on your achieved score, and your AIR (all India ranks) is determined.
Q: What are the minimum CLAT scores required for admission to top law schools?
A: It is incredibly difficult to identify the top 10 institutions' cut-off grades because the paper may be easy one year and challenging the next (overall). A score of over 125, for example, will get you into one of the top ten NLUs, but only a score of 150 or higher will get you into NLSIU Bangalore or NALSAR Hyderabad.
