CLAT UG and CLAT PG are the two entrance exams for LAW programs. CLAT is an abbreviation for Common Law Admission Test. CLAT UG allows you to apply for undergraduate legal programs such as LLB, BALLb, and even BBA LLB. With CLAT PG, you can enrol in a postgraduate legal program, such as an LLM.

CLAT UG Entrance Exam 2025

The Common Law Admission Test, or CLAT, is a national-level law entrance test administered by the Consortium of NLUs for admission to 22 members NLUs’ 5-year integrated LLB (UG) and one-year LLM (PG) programs. UG courses are currently provided by all 22 NLUs, whereas PG courses are now offered by 19 NLUs.

In addition to the NLUs:

  • Sixty-one different private associate institutions accept CLAT test scores.
  • CLAT-UG results are used for recruitment by several public corporations, such as ONGC and BHEL.

 The Consortium of NLUs will announce the CLAT 2025 online application form soon; UG applicants who received 45 per cent in their 10+2 exams and PG applicants who received 50 per cent in their degree exams are eligible to apply for admission; reserved category candidates receive a waiver in qualifying marks. The test will be in the pen-and-paper format, with multiple-choice questions, and last two hours. English, Current Affairs, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and Quants are the five topics questions will be asked. Candidates taking the test should study the subject-specific curriculum and relevant themes to achieve a good score and gain admission to a top NLU, such as NLSIU (ranked #1 in the NIRF 2021 rankings).

CLAT PG Entrance Exam 2025

The CLAT PG 2025 Application Form dates will be released soon. The National Law School of India University, Banglore (NLSIU) held the CLAT PG Exam for applicants. The complete form of CLAT PG is the Common Law Admission Test for Post Graduate Programs.

CLAT PG is a nationwide admission test for postgraduate students. The CLAT PG score will be accepted in various private and government law universities to enable admission to applicants in postgraduate legal programs. Each National Law University conducts the CLAT Exam on a rotating basis every year.
